WWID participates in ISA112 SCADA Systems standards committee meeting in October 2017

isa112_standards-fig1The ISA Water/Wastewater Division was pleased to have several members participate in the ISA112 SCADA Systems standards committee meeting on Mon, Oct 30, 2017 in Tampa Bay Florida USA.  The committee, which is co-chaired by Graham Nasby and Ian Verhappen, is focused on creating a standardized framework, terminology and lifecycle for managing SCADA systems.  Formed in September 2016, the committee now boasts over 120 members from a wide range of industries, vendors, consultants and system integrators.

WWID members at the meeting included, Kevin Patel, Ryan Costello, Adam Plumstead, Manoj Yegnaraman, Pavol Segedy, Graham Nasby. In all there were 25 people who attended the October 30, 2017 meeting, and another 20 who called in via Skype.  At the meeting important work took place to develop a standardized life cycle diagram, architecture diagram, and draft table of contents for the magazine.  The WWID looks forward to reporting on progress with the ISA112 standard as it develops. The ISA112 standard is expected to be published in 2021/2022.
