The ISA water/wastewater division (WWID) is pleased to announce the 2020 ISA WWID Michael Fedenyszen Memorial Student Scholarship Program.
Students can apply by filling out the ISA-WWID_2020-scholarship-application and attaching a 200-word essay on why they should win, a copy of their academic transcript and confirmation of enrollment. The application deadline is January 31, 2020.
The ISA water/wastewater division (WWID) is pleased to award up to $2000 USD of scholarship money to encourage WWID members, their sons/daughters, and individuals recommended by WWID members to pursue higher education. In addition, winners will receive a complementary 2 year student ISA membership. Applications must be submitted via email by January 31, 2020.
Winners will be notified by February 28, 2020 via telephone and email, and will be required to provide a photo, a short 2-4 sentence biography, and a 1-2 sentence “thank you quote” that can be used for publicity reasons. Scholarship money will be distributed by check and mailed after the winner is contacted and has supplied the required photo/bio/quote. Scholarships will be awarded at the sole discretion of the WWID scholarship committee, with preference being given to students enrolled in technical programs that lead to careers in the water/wastewater sector.
The scholarship is named in memory of Michael Fedensyzen, a long-time volunteer chair of the scholarship committee, who passed away in 2017.
