The Instrumentation Testing Association (ITA) and the International Society of Automation (ISA) have teamed up to co-promote the 2014 ISA Water/Wastewater and Automatic Controls (WWAC) Symposium. As many may already know, Tony Palmer is the current Executive Director for the association. Tony is actively seeking an up and coming leader to take over the role as the Executive Director as Tony is preparing for his retirement.
Since its beginnings in 1984 when it was founded at a US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) meeting in Chicago, Illinois, the Instrumentation Testing Association continues to be an end-user-focused technical organization that provides impartial third-party assessment of wastewater instrumentation technologies. Using a cooperative and impartial approach, the association seeks to address common instrument performance and reliability issues that often arise from the low-bid procurement environment that is typically associated with the municipal and industrial wastewater sectors.
The Executive Director’s primary responsibility is to support the Board of Directors and membership by ensuring objectivity in testing and research and to lead the organization towards future growth, new programming initiatives and providing value added services to its members. Under the direction of the board the Executive Director will remain visible in the water/wastewater community, promoting the organization and its members and oversee the day-to-day operations of the association. The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is responsible for the organization’s consistent achievement of its mission and financial objectives. Our non-profit relies on its reputation for independence, integrity, and impartiality, ensuring fair, objective and independent evaluations.
